Tony Randall, 2007.  I spoke to Tony for a long time in his flat on the 22nd floor of the Turanga Tower in Waterloo.  He described some of his experiences during the Vietnam war.  He lost four fingers form his right hand there.  He also talked about working as a security guard in Sydney and being homeless for a while.  At one point he uncased a fighting knife and mimed the correct way to engage someone.  I shot 3 rolls of film altogether in Tony’s apartment – I had a look at the contact sheets recently for the first time  in a while.  One image that has been exhibited as part of the series ‘Neighbourhood’ is on my  website
